Former DUST TO DUST, BOILER ROOM, STEREOMUD Members Join Forces In BLACK WATER RISING

March 3, 2007

BLACK WATER RISING is the new project featuring former DUST TO DUST singer/songwriter Rob Traynor alongside ex-BOILER ROOM drummer Mike Meselsohn and former STEREOMUD guitarist Johnny Fattoruso.

After releasing two self-produced albums nationwide with DUST TO DUST, Traynor "basically sank back into musical obscurity," according to a press release. "Locking himself away in his Brooklyn, New York recording studio for the past two years, Traynor has re-emerged with a collection of new soul-baring, angst-ridden, riff-heavy material that is proudly anchored in the foundations of traditional hard rock songwriting. Giant guitar-driven monster riffs served up on a bed of crushing grooves with soaring melodic vocals and big hooks. Basically, no-frills riff rock! Lyrically the message is socially and politically driven by the dark times we live in.

"The philosophy of BLACK WATER RISING is simple: they are not looking to reinvent the wheel, they just want to give it a much-needed alignment in these musically stale times."

BLACK WATER RISING is currently looking to fill the bass player spot.
